I got TP'ed

Just before you think things are all nice and rosy over here.... let me just tell you that even though the 3's are easier in some ways, David is still up to his antics. He is very curious.

So, despite him drawing on himself, spraying out all the air freshener onto the wall, using his saline nose spray as a water gun, and me discovering a "hiding spot" in the back of the closet he has been stashing stuff in....

this is the best:

Sometimes after washing clothes I'll find a toy in the wash, maybe a shoe sometimes.... David will explain to me that it was dirty and needed washing too.

Well, when I opened the washer this morning, I discovered everything was completely white, cottony, and everywhere. I called David and soon came to the realization it was TOILET PAPER!!!
He said he needed to wash it! So, my clothes basically looked paper mached. That is the only way I can describe the stiffness of it all.
So, I put them in the dryer so it would pull off all the cotton.
Bad idea.
This is some of what came out, the rest is in my vacuum cleaner. Oh well! After a few washes, I think it has lost some of the "snow" look.

Happy Friday!

Valentines Day pics!

Here are pics from the kid's Valentine's party! Above is us at the party, David and his friend Aidan, and the super cute cupcakes his mommy made! They were so cute exchanging their valentines with eachother!

Miss Mackenzie also turns 14 months today! She is still tiny! She sleeps 8 to 8 like Dave, and takes an afternoon nap from around 1 to 4. She chatters none stop and says hi, bye, night night, dada, mama, dadid (david), da (dog), ot (hot)....that's all i can think of! She is very fast and loves giving hugs and kisses all the time. She is definitely sugar and spice =)

Dave is still wild man! He is becoming quicker to listen and obey. I definitely think the twos were the hardest and the threes have been easier, for us! It's just funny to watch little boys. I took him to the "bounce house". He literally lunged off the top of a slide backwards, and head first. He is hilarious, no fear, and going to be just like his daddy.

They are so different! It blows me away!
Mr. Willis also had sweet plans for our Valentines Day. He brought home candy and flowers, had my mom come babysit, took me out to eat, and to see the Valentine's Day movie. It was a good movie. It wouldn't have been that great of a movie if there weren't 30 different actors in it though!! We relish our alone time and it is still so fun to be in love. Valentine's Day always reminds me of how much I love being married, you need those reminders sometimes, ha!! But, seriously babe, I'm so in love with you!

It has been a fun week with love in the air!! hahah!

Snowed in!

Here are some pics of the kids enjoying the snow! We got a little over 3 inches here. I don't know what's going on with Georgia, but we've had more flurries today! David loves the snow and was running around so fast I didnt get many pics of him. Him and Tim were off sledding together! It was Mackenzie's first snow and she was just awestruck. It was really cute and all she wanted to do was eat the snow!

No one has been sick here since November (knock on wood), so we are all trying to stay well. It's been my personal mission to be germ free =) I even wrote and article about it below.
Anyone have any other tips on battling the cold and flu season??

Check back soon for our Valentine's Day pics and stories =)

I don't know why....

I don't know a lot of things. In fact, the more I know... the less i understand.
One of the things I can't seem to understand is why our life seems to be so dramatic. Tim and I would both like to think we are laid back, go with the flow people. We just have the most bizarre, crazy, and out of the ordinary things happen to both of us... all the time.

After much debate on sharing this, I decided, why not?
Obviously, we are followers of Jesus and are pretty open about that. We both have no problem sharing our faith and the beliefs that we have. Christ has changed our lives and we put all our faith, hope, and dependence on Him. We are not perfect people, and do not try to be, and thus I blog about that. We like being real and telling it how it really is.

So, here goes. It's about the next door neighbor Wiccan, aka, the witch.
So seriously, she actually tries to even look like a witch, long grey hair and all.
She came over yesterday and brought by a "belated christmas present". I had given her some Christian books and the book of John from the Bible.
Anyway, one of her gifts was this.
It was a spell, a real spell.. in a box. It was a brown 5" x 5" box. It had weird stuff in it: feathers, keys, dried things, ect...creepy.
She said it was a "love/happiness" spell for our family. And to cast the spell, we would have to chant a scroll inside the box while throwing the contents of the box on the floor. Then, the spell would be cast.
Okay, yes this happened. I would post pics, but needless to say it was only in our possession for about 5 minutes. Tim discarded it. We were going to take it back to her, but who really wants to piss off a witch?
Now, obviously this silly box has no power over me, but it just felt really creepy and we didn't want it in our home... i really can't describe it.

I am just claiming John 4:4 for my family and I. "Greater is He that is within me, than he that is in the world."

I am discouraged she also gave me back my books/Bible I gave her. She said a psychic confirmed her Wiccan ways. I apparently don't have a knack for witnessing to witches... Any other thoughts????? I'm a little lost here...
I can't believe a witch gave me a spell! Did I mention we are trying to sell our house? This should be a great selling feature, free spells.
Super Freak for sure.

Maid Fairies are Real

okay. if someone can just go ahead and please comment and explain to me why my life is the equivalent of 6 Flags Over Georgia, that'd be great.
To preface my story, here are some facts you need to know about me.
1. My next door neighbor is crazy. No, really. No..... really. She is pushing 60 years old, she is Wiccan, she has parrots, she walks around with a voice recorder, she has about 35 birdfeeders in her backyard (which is psuedo my backyard), she tried to buy my perscription drugs when i had both my babies and pneumonia, and her Christmas card had a picture of the band White Snake on the front. So, she isn't married... shocker, i know. Ok. put that in your back pocket.
2. My oven broke yesterday. I don't know why I am prone to fires, but something sparked, flamed, and so I turned it off.... and got ready with a pitcher of water to fight the fire. It went out, but the oven died. Stupid thing is only 3 years old. Mr. Tim the Tool Man is going to fix it though... anyway, I am without my beloved oven.
3. I was car-less today. Tim's rear brakes were shot so his car had to slumber party at the mechanic. He borrowed mine today and we were supposed to pick it up when he got off.
4. I was money-less today. I never carry cash, only my debit card. However, I do have checks, but realized I had written the darn last one, no more checks!!!
5. Our Bff's moved in 10 doors down and we see them pretty much 24/7. We've both always lived in Canton so we basically hang out all the time. They are the greatest.

So, with those 5 facts, this was my day.
I woke up and walked the kids down to playgroup at a neighbors house this a.m. A little gusty and I got a few nasty looks from passerbys, but sue me.... I had no car.
I get home and remember that I am making dinner for a family.... tonight!! They had a baby recently and so I was planning on bringing them a meal! Hmmmm, this could be kind of an issue with cooking their casserole with no oven. Crap. I decide to go ahead and make it and figure out the oven part later. As I am making it, I realize I have no way to take them the meal since Tim has my car..... and who the hell knows when he is really getting home anyway! Grrr. I continue my meal planning.

RING. (my phone).

Me: "hello?"
MF (Maid Fairies): "Hello, Jennifer. We are the maids that cleaned your house over the holidays. We have had so many people call us that you referred us to that we wanted to clean your house for free as a thank you present to you."
Me: no response. <<>>
MF: So, we are almost at your home and we will see you in a few.
Me: "Seriously??? "
MF: "Yes mam, if it's not okay...that's fine. But, we really want to."
Me: "Oh, YES! Come on over!"
Literally, they show up, pour in, and start cleaning.

My realizations:
There are maids cleaning my house right now, for real. I am in the process of destroying my kitchen. I have no oven to bake the meal for the family. I have no car to take the meal to the family. I have no check/cash to at least give these people a tip for cleaning the house. I have no car to go get moola.
While the maids are cleaning, I finally decide to go ask my crazy neighbor if i can borrow her oven. Then, I realize that the week before one of her parrots had died. She had told me she was going to creamate the bird herself. I knock on her door and as I'm changing my mind, she opens! Ahhh! I think quick and tell her that I am bringing her a plate of casserole later.... and leave. There is just no way I can risk using her oven.... God only knows what has been in it.
Okay, I've also realized that today that I am like the pig from "If you Give a Pig a Pancake." It starts out like.... If you give a pig a pancake, she'll ask you for some syrup. If you give a pig some syrup, she'll ask you for a bath b/c she is sticky...... you get it. That was me today.
I call my bff to see if she has gotten off work and is nearby to save my life.
So, not only is she around, she picks up the remaining items of the meal at the store for me, goes by the ATM and gets cash for me to tip the maids, drops it all off, takes the casseroles home and cooks them in her oven for me..... and...... watches and feeds my kids while I drive her car to take the family the meal!!!!
Thanks, Jess!!!!!!!!!!!
I keep my word and go drop off a plate of casserole to my crazy neighbor. She opens it up and says, "Yum, Orville (her other parrot that is alive) will love this. Thanks for bringing it." Why does she feed a parrott casserole, why? That could have been my lunch tomorrow, sad.

Anyway, we have the greatest friends, really. Another neighbor takes Tim to go pick up his car so I will no longer be without.
And, lastly.... Happy Birthday Peggy! Sorry again I dropped off a card and roll of cookie dough at your door tonight. I would have baked them, but.... well.... you know! Who likes baked cookie dough anyway, really!
1. I am sorry to Tim for yelling at him when he called and said he was going to be home late. You are not the worst person in the world, i think i said that. Even though we are mean and sarcastic to each other a lot.... dont worry we have been for 10 years, its kind of our love language.
2. I love and am grateful for my clean house..... for it does not come easy with children... I am ever so grateful for the Maid Fairies that showed up at my door.... I really only thought that happened in movies. Oh my gosh, Im still shocked!
3. I love the village of people that help us live life. We need lots of help and apparently that is pretty evident to those around us =)
We thank the Lord for all of our laughs today!!!
