Next video is Mackenzie's first ballet lesson. We are outside the room looking through a tinted/sound-proof window. I was amazed at how she just picked right up.... this class has been together since August and I thought my ballerina did quite well for her very first time. Poor baby is also the tiniest little ballerina. Her teacher, Mrs. Emma, said she was going to be a born ballerina...... we'll see about that. In the meantime, she did come home and want to wear a tiara for the rest of the night- oh my word. It will be neat to compare videos in 8 weeks! I also love how Mackenzie is so into David's baseball games and David was glued to the window watching her ballet lesson. Didn't see that coming! I will note I was the only mother in the hallway videoing that also had her 5 year old there, ha! David is such a sweetheart- he watched her whole lesson and got a little antsy at the end here, hence him putting his mouth on the window and he just couldn't figure out the window tint! Love his squeal when the girls circle up!

St Pattys in Savannah
Davids class went to this Tellus Museum this week and I was a chaperone! It was really fun! I can't tell you how much I love having a little 5 year old in preschool and how much fun it is =) David is definitely one of the wildest children in the class. He is smart, sweet, but a handful. I am really working with him and trying to teach him how to focus. And how to obey even when he doesn't feel like it. David is my rule breaker. I just pray and stay on him consistently and firmly believe his strong will one day will be a huge strength in following after God and being a leader.
He loves his little buddies. These are the boys in the class and him squeezing the life out of his best friend, Colston. His teacher is a saint!
My little man is loving baseball. His team is the "Raptors." They lost their first game, but I don't think any of them realized it, ha! I love that. They were just so excited to play that it never crossed their minds if they won or not. I love our saturday baseball days! It's really low-key because I am NOT going to be the mother that spends her day shuttling around kids to different events. They can pick one thing a year and then we spend time together as a family at home and not in our vehicle! Can you tell I have an opinion about that ;) Do yourself and your family a favor and don't sign them up for every activity offered. You pouring into them and face to face time is priceless. Little sis Mackenzie was hollering and cheering through the fence!

We spent a week in Savannah and were there during St. Pattys. I love my sister. And I love my nephews, luckily I do have my other nephew, baby josh, close by! I can't describe to you the closeness of all these cousins. My sisters boys and my two have spent so much time together it really is like they are siblings. In fact, to other peoples confusion, David tells people he has 2 brothers. And that their names are Jon Jon and Micheal. I love that. And I feel so lucky that my sister and I had kids all 12 months apart from eachother.
I wish I had exciting stories to tell since we were down in Savannah for St. Patty's Day, but our whole crew spent 24/7 at the beach!! It was perfect. The adults did rotate going downtown together just to see the sights and it was pretty entertaining. Did I mention that over 1 million people come to Savannah to celebrate this holiday?! Hmm, some of the most shocking things I saw: road closures so seas of people could roam the streets, the ground covered in beer bottles, cups, and liquid (???), people barefooted through the streets- did I mention the mystery liquid on the streets- people sleeping in cars b/c hotel rooms ran upwards of $500 a night, people passed out against buildings, lamp posts, and port-a-potties, and the best of all: people had their contact info written in a sharpie marker across their forearm in case they passed out somewhere and were found. Awesome.
Now do you see why I spent all my time on the beach?? It was worth just seeing it to see it though. We took the kids to the park, on a ferry ride, the big parade for st. pattys that morning, and to see all the green fountains. They ran around like crazy little 3, 4,5, and 6 year olds and played hide and seek in the park. They were quite adorable.
This is my happy, happy husband Tim. Doesn't he look happy? I love that.

8

Today is our 8 year wedding anniversary.
I feel like I could write a book. Maybe one day I will...
That was then, we met at 18. Married at 22.
We've had many addresses.
We've had many babies.
But, the sweet Lord has let us keep these two.

I dont know how, but every year I love him more. And every year brings its fair share of joy and trials, but somehow God has made our "Team Willis" become more one than I ever thought possible. Our marriage has been about making each others dreams come true.
I think we have been through things that would destroy marriages. God has been so gracious to us and we are so humbled and in awe of Him. The only reason, the only way, and the bond we have is simply one word: Jesus.

We said these verses in our vows not knowing what they meant. Today, we know exactly what they mean.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
We are going to dinner tonight and to Savannah next week for the beach and St. Pattys!
