8

Today is our 8 year wedding anniversary.
I feel like I could write a book. Maybe one day I will...

That was then, we met at 18. Married at 22.

We've had many addresses.
We've had many babies.

But, the sweet Lord has let us keep these two.

I dont know how, but every year I love him more. And every year brings its fair share of joy and trials, but somehow God has made our "Team Willis" become more one than I ever thought possible. Our marriage has been about making each others dreams come true.
I think we have been through things that would destroy marriages. God has been so gracious to us and we are so humbled and in awe of Him. The only reason, the only way, and the bond we have is simply one word: Jesus.

We said these verses in our vows not knowing what they meant. Today, we know exactly what they mean.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

We are going to dinner tonight and to Savannah next week for the beach and St. Pattys!

As tears stream down my cheeks (again!) as I read this precious account, I am yet reminded once more of God's great faithfulness. How can it be...nothing other than our relationship to Him matters more than our children knowing and loving God,loving their amazing beyond belief wives and children more than life itself and serving all three in fueled by the Spirit. Wow, above and beyond. So so proud. Love you so much.
